What is NIFT ? Conducted by NTA
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The NIFT entrance exam for admission to its various undergraduate and postgraduate design programs is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). A good score opens doors to 18 NIFT campuses across India.

How to Apply for NIFT 2026: Registration Process
1. New Registration
Create an account using your email ID and mobile number.
2. Fill the Application Form
Enter personal, academic, and contact details. Select your preferred exam cities and NIFT campuses.
3. Upload Documents
Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable).
4. Pay the Application Fee
Pay the fee online (Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, UPI). Fees vary by category (General/OBC: ~₹3000, SC/ST/PwD: ~₹1500).
5. Submit and Print
Review your form, submit it, and download/print the confirmation page for your records.
NIFT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For Undergraduate Programs (B.Des, B.F.Tech)
Age Limit
General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2001. SC/ST/PwD candidates get a 5-year relaxation.
Academic Qualification:
Passed or Appearing in the 10+2 exam from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
Academic Qualification:
OR passed a Public School/Board/University examination in India or abroad recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
Academic Qualification:
OR passed a General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

OR holds a 3- or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
For Postgraduate Programs (M.Des, M.F.M, M.F.Tech)
Academic Qualification
Must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized institute or university.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam evaluates a candidate’s creative, analytical, and general aptitude for design and fashion studies through a multi-stage process.
